Gabriela Montero
Gabriela Montero (born May 10, 1970) was a Venezuelan classical and contemporary
classical pianist and composer from Caracas. Montero began playing the piano at
age seven months and gave her first concerto debut at age eight with the
National Youth Orchestra of Venezuela. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music
in London between 1990 and 1993 and won third prize at the XIII International
Chopin Piano Competition in 1995. Montero released the debut album Piano Recital
