Gary D.
Gerald Malke, born on December 5, 1963, was a German trance and techno DJ
producer known professionally as Gary D. He began DJing at 16 in 1980, initially
playing disco, hip-hop, and R&B before shifting to techno and house in 1988,
when he released his first single "Ecstasy" under the alias Acid Syndrome. In
1991 he issued the trance EP Identity E.P., followed by the hit compilation
series D.Trance in 1995, which spawned over 40 volumes by 2009. Throughout the
1990s and 2000s he released a steady stream of studio albums, such as Works
