Gaute Storaas
Gaute Storaas, born on August 20, 1959, in Bergen, Norway, is a Norwegian jazz
musician and composer. He began performing on the local rock and jazz scene
before studying at the University of Bergen and later at Berklee College of
Music in Boston, earning a diploma in arranging in 1986. Upon returning to
Norway, he composed for commercials, films, TV idents, and concerts, gaining
early recognition when his orchestral work Ouverture #2 won the Danish Radio
Orchestra competition for younger composers in 1989. Storaas is known for
