One of the great singers of Dutch variety and pop, Gerard Cox was a songwriter,
composer, performer, guitarist, cabaret artist, actor and director, born in
Rotterdam on March 6, 1940, and died in Mijnsheerenland on September 13, 2025.
He began playing guitar in 1957 at the age of 17, but it was in 1961, at 21,
