Giannis Haroulis, born on January 13, 1981, in Crete, Greece, is a Greek singer,
songwriter, and lute player. He started performing at local festivals and
traveled to Athens in 2002 for a concert dedicated to Nikos Xilouris, which was
recorded and released as the collaboration album When My Friends Come, Mother
(2003). His debut solo album Around Me and Within (2003) was released the same
