Born Gildor Roy Jr. on May 11, 1960 in Cadillac, Canada, he is a country singer,
actor and television host from Quebec. In 1980, he enrolled at the National
Theatre School, and was immediately cast in television, theater and film roles
when he graduated in 1983, including on Epopée Rock from 1984 to 1990. In 1989,
he appeared for the first time as a singer on Radio-Canada's Star d'un Soir . In
April 1990, he put on a country show that ran for twelve nights. In 1991, he
released his first single, "Je parle à la lune", and a few months later released
his debut album, Tard le Soir S...
