Grete Pedersen
Grete Pedersen, born 1 October 1960 in Sarpsborg, Norway, is a conductor and
former national football player. She began piano and simple church music before
enrolling at the Norwegian Academy of Music, graduating in 1988 with a diploma
in conducting. In 1984, she founded the Oslo Chamber Choir, leading it until
2004. Pedersen’s recordings include The Wind Blows with the Norwegian Soloists'
Choir, which was awarded CD of the Year 2018 by Gramophone, and Coro, a 2020
collaboration with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra that earned a Diapason d’Or.
