Grinspoon, an Australian post-grunge band, were formed in 1995 in Lismore, New
South Wales, and initially comprised Phil Jamieson and Pat Davern on guitar, Joe
Hansen on bass, and Kristian Hopes on drums. The group gained prominence after
winning Triple J's Unearthed competition, which aimed to promote rising talent
across Australia. Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut EP
Just Ace in 1998, followed by another EP, Pushing Buttons. Grinspoon's first
