GTR
GTR was a British rock band formed in 1985, consisting of guitarists Steve Howe
and Steve Hackett. The group was founded as a response to the diminishing role
of guitars in the English music scene at the time. After leaving Asia due to
creative differences with singer John Wetton, Steve Howe joined forces with
Steve Hackett, who had been frustrated by the lack of guitar-centric music.
Their collaboration resulted in the formation of GTR, which aimed to create a
strongly guitar-oriented sound while appealing to a broader market.
