Guy, an American R&B band, were founded in 1987 by new jack swing luminary Teddy
Riley, alongside Aaron Hall and Timmy Gatling. The group originated from Harlem,
New York City, where both Teddy Riley and Timmy Gatling grew up in musically
active households. Before forming Guy, the pair were part of a band called Kids
at Work. Guy's debut self-titled album, released in June 1988 via Uptown
