Ma'soumeh Dadehbala, known professionally as Hayedeh, was born on April 10, 1942
in Tehran, Iran. She began her professional career in 1968 as a singer on the
Persian traditional music program "Golhâye Rangârang" at Radio Tehran. Her first
official hit was "Azadeh", composed by Ali Tajvidi with lyrics by Rahi Moayeri.
In the 1970s, Hayedeh expanded her repertoire to include Persian pop music and
collaborated with notable songwriters such as Fereydoun Khoshnoud and
