Pierre-André Job, known professionally as Hector Zazou, was born on July 11,
1948, in Sidi-bel-Abbès, French Algeria. Zazou began a career as a composer,
musician, and producer, co-founding the group ZNR and releasing Barricades 3
(1976), followed by Traité de Mécanique Populaire (1978). In 1979, inspired by
workshops in psychiatric hospitals, Zazou released the album La Perversita
(1979) alongside Jeanne Folly, VXZ 375, and Jean-Luc Hennig. Zazou collaborated
with numerous artists, including Jon Hassell, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Brian Eno, Peter
