Helen Sung
Helen Sung, born in Houston, Texas, is an American jazz pianist. She attended
Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and earned degrees in
classical piano performance at the University of Texas at Austin, where she
discovered jazz music. Helen Sung graduated from the Thelonious Monk Institute
of Jazz Performance, performing at venues like the Kennedy Center and touring
with Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter. Helen Sung won the Mary Lou Williams Jazz
