Hemp Gru
Hemp Gru is a Polish hip-hop group formed in Warsaw in 1998 by rappers Robert
“Wilku” Darkowski and Maciej “Bilon” Bilka. The duo made its recording debut
with “Na krawędzi” on the compilation Hiphopowy raport z osiedla w najlepszym
wykonaniu (1998). Their debut album, Klucz, was released through Prosto in 2004
and established Hemp Gru as an important group in the Polish hardcore and
street-rap scene, with tracks including “To jest to,” “Nienawiść” and “Sami
swoi.” After leaving Prosto in 2006, the group established its own label, DIIL
