Hector Ortiz, professionally known as Hex Hector, is an American house and
techno DJ and producer born on April 15, 1965, in Manhattan. Born to a Puerto
Rican mother and Cuban father, he began his career at age 14 with the group
Little Man Crew. Hector produced remixes alongside Robert Clivillés and released
a remix of the recording “Un-Break My Heart” in 1996. He remixed tracks such as
“MMMBop” by the ensemble Hanson and Jennifer Lopez's “Waiting for Tonight”, the
latter of which received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording in 2000.
