Japanese pop singer-songwriter and actor Hideaki Tokunaga was born on February
27, 1961, in Yanagawa, Fukuoka. His musical career began in 1986 with the
release of his debut album Girl and the single "Rainy Blue." By 1987, his third
album, Birds, had topped the Japanese Oricon charts, solidifying his presence in
the late-1980s J-pop scene. Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Hideaki
Tokunaga released several hit songs, including "Yume o Shinjite" and "Kowarekake
