Hildegarde
Hildegarde Loretta Sell, also known as Hildegarde, was born on February 1, 1906
in Adell, Wisconsin. She began performing with her school choir and orchestra
and later studied at Marquette University, entering the professional scene at
sixteen in Milwaukee’s Merril Theater. She performed in the revue Stars on
Parade, leading to appearances throughout Europe and in Pope Pius XII's summer
residence. Her single "Darling, Je Vous Aime Beaucoup", released in 1936,
reached number 21 on the charts in 1943. Her discography includes the albums
