HOTDOGS
The Hot Dogs, a Dixieland jazz band from Germany, were formed in 1955 in Munich
by students of the Technische Hochschule and pupils of the Maximiliansgymnasium.
Initially known as TH Hot Dogs, they later changed their name to New Orleans Hot
Dogs before settling on Hot Dogs. The group gained significant popularity
through their jazz interpretations of Bavarian folk songs and other traditional
music. Their breakthrough came in 1966 with the release of "Ja, so warn’s, die
alten Rittersleut'," a song by Karl Valentin that became a staple at their live
