Hotlegs, a British band formed in 1970, was formed by Eric Stewart, Kevin
Godley, Lol Creme, and Graham Gouldman. The group was known for their hit single
"Neanderthal Man", which reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart in July 1970
and sold two million copies worldwide. Before Hotlegs, Stewart had been a member
of The Mindbenders, while Godley and Creme were part of Frabjoy and Runcible
Spoon. In August 1970, they briefly rebranded as Doctor Father for the single
"Umbopo" but reverted to Hotlegs shortly after, recording their debut album
