Hour Glass was an American soul band that was active from 1967 to 1968. Based in
Los Angeles, California, the group included future members of the Allman
Brothers Band, Duane Allman and Gregg Allman, along with Pete Carr, Johnny
Sandlin, and Paul Hornsby. They secured a contract with Liberty Records through
connections with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Their debut album, Hour Glass,
featured lighthearted poppy soul and included the single "Nothing But Tears".
