Humberto Gessinger is a Brazilian musician and singer-songwriter born in Porto
Alegre. He received musical training while studying architecture and formed the
band Engenheiros do Hawaii in 1984 with the musicians Carlos Maltz and Marcelo
Pitz. The ensemble released its debut studio album, Longe Demais das Capitais,
in 1986. During his career with the group, Gessinger’s musical role transitioned
from guitar to bass and later returned to lead guitar. His recording history
