The Imo Kin Trio (イモ欽トリオ) is a Japanese three-member music unit derived from a
television program. The members consist of Ryoichi Yamaguchi (born March 27,
1955, Hiroshima Prefecture), Koji Nishiyama (born January 10, 1961, Kagawa
Prefecture), and Kenji Nagae (born July 17, 1964, Osaka Prefecture). They made
their record debut on August 5, 1981 with the single "High School Lullaby. The
song, with lyrics by Takashi Matsumoto and music by Haruomi Hosono, rode the
wave of the times with its light techno-pop sound and sold over 1.6 million
