Inka Bause was born in Leipzig on November 21, 1968. She is the daughter of
composer Arndt Bause and grows up in Berlin-Biesdorf. She received musical
support as a child and completed her vocal studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy
of Music in Berlin in 1989. In 1984, she made her debut on GDR television with
the single "Spielverderber". Her first album Inka is released by Amiga in 1987.
This is followed by Schritte (1989), Ich geh' durch die Nacht (1991) and Ein Zug
