Ion Dolănescu

Ion Dolănescu, born on January 25, 1944, in Perșinari, Dâmbovița, Romania, was a
folk singer. At age 17, he accompanied Maria Tănase on a tour, marking his early
involvement in music. In 1966, after graduating from high school, Dolănescu
became a solist with the ensemble Ciocârlia. His singles include "Spune, Maică,
Adevărat" and "Prin Pădurea Cu Flori Multe". Throughout his career, he released
over 50 albums, including Ion Dolănescu (1970) and collaborations with Maria
Ciobanu on Maria Ciobanu și Ion Dolănescu (1974). He also ventured into
