Isabell Schmidt, born 13 August 1989 in Greifswald, Germany, is a German
pop‑rock singer who began playing guitar at thirteen and later performed as a
street musician while working as an occupational therapist in Stralsund. Her
breakthrough came in 2012 when she placed second in the second season of The
Voice of Germany, advancing to the finale after a successful performance of her
self‑written single "Heimweh", which peaked at number 33 on the German charts
