Originally from Baye Laye (Guédiawaye), a suburb of Dakar (Senegal), Ismaela Talla (aka Iss 814) was immersed in the world of music from an early age, thanks to his older brothers who were members of the group African Black Roots, later renamed Bat'Haillons Blin-D. He grew up obsessed with following in their footsteps, and learned to play music on his own. A law graduate from Dakar's Cheikh Anta Diop University, he eventually decided to devote himself to his career as a beatmaker, combining technical and artistic aspects.
