J Mascis & the Fog
J Mascis is the frontman of J Mascis + The Fog, an American rock band formed in
2000 after the breakup of Dinosaur Jr. Mascis recorded the majority of the
instruments in his home studio in Amherst, Massachusetts, for the project's
debut album More Light (2000). The album title and the song “Ammaring” were
inspired by the religious figure Ammachi. Between October 2000 and the spring of
2001, the group promoted the album with four tours covering Japan, Australia,
