Jacky Jasper, born Sean Merrick in Toronto, is a rapper known for his distinct G-funk sound. In 1991, as Toronto rapper HDV, he contributed to the Can't Repress the Cause Movement. In 1993, he released Higher Deeper Values through ISBA Records/Sony Records. In 1996, after being recruited by Eric B., he moved to the United States and reinvented himself as H-Bomb, releasing Narcissism in 1998 which featured "Playaz Need No Love" with Roger Troutman that charted on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks.
