James Pierpont
James Lord Pierpont, born on April 25, 1822, in Boston, Massachusetts, was an
American composer and songwriter. He began his musical journey with early
compositions like "The Returned Californian" published in 1852. In 1857, he
wrote and composed "Jingle Bells", originally titled "The One Horse Open
Sleigh". This composition became one of the most performed and recognizable
