Jan Andrzej Paweł Kaczmarek, born 29 April 1953 in Konin, Poland, was a composer
whose work spanned stage and screen. He began his career composing for theatre
productions, later expanding into film scoring. Kaczmarek released his first
major soundtrack in 1997 with Washington Square, followed by Infidèle in 2002.
His portfolio grew with Finding Neverland (2005), The Visitor (2008), and the
wartime score Passchendaele (2010). That year he also scored Hachi: A Dog's Tale
