Jan “Ptaszyn” Wróblewski, born on 27 March 1936 in Kalisz, was a Polish jazz saxophonist, composer, and arranger who played the tenor and baritone saxophones. He began his professional career in 1956 as a member of Krzysztof Komeda's Sextet, performing with the group at the first Sopot Jazz Festival. In 1958, he became the only Polish member of the Newport International Youth Band and performed at the Newport Jazz Festival.
