Janet Kay Bogle, born on January 17, 1958 in Willesden, North West London, is an
English singer known for her contributions to lovers rock and reggae music. Her
career began when she was discovered singing impromptu at a rehearsal studio by
Tony "Gad" Robinson, keyboardist from the band Aswad, who recommended her to
Alton Ellis. In 1978, she recorded "I Do Love You" and "That's What Friends Are
For", but it was her 1979 single "Silly Games", written and produced by Dennis
