Janet Seidel
Janet Seidel, born May 28, 1955, was an Australian jazz vocalist and pianist.
She studied at the Elder Conservatorium of Music at the University of Adelaide
from 1973 to 1976. Seidel's breakthrough came in the early 1980s when she
performed at top jazz venues across Australia. She also performed at festivals
in the US and collaborated with artists like Harry Allen and Dan Barrett. Her
debut album, Little Jazz Bird, was released in 1992. Notable works include
Midnight Jazz Lounge (2004) and Moon of Manakoora (2005), the latter winning the
