Jason Ricci, born February 3, 1974 and raised in Portland, Maine, is an American
harmonica player and singer. He began performing in punk bands at age 14,
initially as a vocalist before transitioning to the harmonica. In 1995, Ricci
moved to Memphis, TN, where he won 1st place in the Sonny Boy Blues Society
contest. Later that year, he released his self-titled debut album. His early
career included collaborations with David Malone Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside.
He formed Jason Ricci & New Blood in 2002 and released albums including Rocket
