Jaume Sisa, born September 24, 1948, in Barcelona, is a Catalan
singer-songwriter, actor, and counterculture figure known as “El cantautor
galáctico” (“The Galactic Singer-Songwriter”). Born Jaume Sisa i Mestres, he
emerged from Barcelona’s underground folk scene in the 1960s as a member of Grup
de Folk and later co-led Música Dispersa. His 1975 album, Qualsevol nit pot
sortir el sol, and its title track, are considered classics in Catalan music.
