Javier Vargas, born on January 20, 1958, in Madrid, Spain, is a Spanish blues
and rock guitarist. At age five, his family emigrated to Argentina, where he
received his first guitar from his father. Vargas was playing in clubs and
recording as a session guitarist in Nashville and Los Angeles. He returned to
Spain, joining Miguel Ríos' band and contributing to albums like Los Viejos
Rockeros Nunca Mueren (1979). In 1991, Vargas formed the Vargas Blues Band,
