Jay and the Techniques were an American pop group formed in Allentown,
Pennsylvania in the mid-1960s. The band's breakthrough came with their debut
single "Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie", released in 1967 on the Smash label.
Arranged by Joe Renzetti and written by Maurice Irby Jr., the song reached
number six on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold over one million copies,
earning a gold disc. The group's success continued with "Keep the Ball Rollin'",
which peaked at number 14 on the same chart and also achieved gold status. Their
