Jessy Greene
Jessy Greene, born in Sheffield, Massachusetts, in 1970, is an American
violinist, cellist, and vocalist. She began playing the violin at four years of
age, briefly switched to guitar during high school, and subsequently returned to
the violin while earning a degree in ethnomusicology from UCLA. Greene performed
on the Peter Himmelman Skin tour before joining the Geraldine Fibbers, recording
two albums with the group, and later moved to Minneapolis to join the Jayhawks
