James William Glaser (born 16 December 1937 in Spalding) was an American country
music artist. He began his career as a backup vocalist for Marty Robbins and
gained significant prominence as a member of the trio Tompall & the Glaser
Brothers alongside his siblings. As a songwriter, Glaser achieved success in
1964 with "What Does It Take" for Skeeter Davis and "Thanks a Lot for Tryin'
Anyway" for Liz Anderson. His most notable composition, "Woman, Woman", became a
