Jo Vally, born Valère Maurice Caroline Lauwers on October 12, 1958, in
Wolvertem, Belgium, is active in pop, schlager, and country music. During high
school years, Vally trained as a mechanic and studied music theory and piano.
The initial foray into music began with the formation of The Dream Band, playing
keyboards. Vally released the first solo single under the name Valli Low. Under
the guidance of manager Rik Vervecken, the singer adopted the stage name Jo
