Joanna, born Maria de Fátima Gomes Nogueira in Rio de Janeiro on January 27,
1957, is a Brazilian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose career
spans over four decades. She began her musical journey at the age of 12 when her
father gifted her a guitar, leading her to participate in music festivals and
perform in nightclubs. In 1979, she released her debut album Nascente, featuring
the hit "Descaminhos" co-written with Sarah Benchimol. Throughout the 1980s,
