Jodie Christian

Jodie Christian was born on February 2, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. He was an American jazz pianist. His early musical training was influenced by his mother, a church pianist, and his father, who played the blues in speakeasies. He co-founded the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) with Muhal Richard Abrams, Steve McCall, and Phil Cohran.
