Joe Bushkin
Joseph "Joe" Bushkin, born on November 7, 1916, was an American jazz pianist
from New York City. He began his career playing trumpet and piano with local
dance bands in the city before joining Bunny Berigan's band in 1935. Joe Bushkin
collaborated with Eddie Condon, Max Kaminsky, Joe Marsala, Muggsy Spanier and
Tommy Dorsey. During World War II, Bushkin served in the United States Army Air
Corps. One of his best compositions was "Oh! Look at Me Now", co-written with
John DeVries. He also worked on Road to Morocco (1942) soundtrack starring Bing
