Joep Beving
Dutch composer and pianist Joep Beving was born in Doetinchem on January 9,
1976. He took piano lessons and formed a local band in his teens, before going
on to work for a company creating music for advertising. Invited to play at the
International Festival of Creativity in Cannes, he realized the impact of his
compositions on the public and decided to publish them on listening platforms.
The success of his classically minimalist-inspired pieces, and in particular his
self-produced debut album Solipsism (2015), racking up millions of listens,
