Joey Purp joins the long line of hip-hop stars hailing from the Windy City and
stamped his membership with the Savemoney crew; also comprising Chance the
Rapper, Vic Mensa, and other local heroes. He dropped his first mixtape, The
Purple Tape, in 2012 but his ascent to stardom began four years later with
