Johnny Yim
Johnny Yim Lai-hang, a Hong Kong native, was born on August 12, 1977, to a
family with a rich musical background. His mother was a musician, and his father
was a dance choreographer. He began playing the piano at the age of six and
pursued a mathematics major in college while living in Canada. Despite not
obtaining a formal music degree, Yim's passion for music led him to self-study,
which ultimately paid off when he won the 16th C.A.S.H. Songwriting Quest in
2004 upon returning to Hong Kong. Since then, Yim has worked with numerous
