Bengt Djupbäck, born Bengt Simon Johansson and known professionally as Jokkmokks-Jokke, was a Swedish musician born on May 20, 1915, in Porsi, Sweden. In 1954, he moved to Stockholm to pursue a career in music, where he was discovered by Topsy Lindholm at Nationalpalatset (Nalen). His distinctive Sami clothing became an exotic feature in the Swedish capital. In 1963, Djupbäck composed "Gulli-Gullan", his most famous song, which gained widespread popularity.
