Jon Christensen
Jon Christensen was an acclaimed jazz drummer from Norway who performed and
recorded with a great many artists from the early 1960s until his death, aged
76, in February 2020. He made several records with American jazz pianist George
Russell, Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek, Norwegian guitarist Terje Rypdal,
American pianist Keith Jarrett and Czech bassist Mirsolav Vitous. With Norwegian
bassist Arild Anderson, he released four albums in the 1980s under the name
Masqualero. In 1976, he released his own album 'No Time for Time'.
