Jon Mark
Jon Mark, born John Michael Burchell on May 8, 1943, in Falmouth, England, was
an English singer-songwriter and guitar. He began his music career by
collaborating with Alun Davies to release Relax Your Mind in 1963 on Decca
Records. He then formed the band Mark-Almond. Notable albums include The Lady
and the Artist (1983), The Standing Stones of Callanish (1988), and Hot Night
(1992). He notably won a Grammy with his wife Thelma Burchell in 2004 for Best
Traditional World Music Album. He passed away on February 10, 2021.
