Jonny Hill, born Feri Gillming on 27 July 1940 in Graz, Austria, is a singer
known for his contributions to pop music. His musical career began when he was
scouted by Lotar Olias, who recognised his vocal similarity to Freddy Quinn.
Under the pseudonym Victor, he released his first singles "Liebe ist Feuer und
Wasser" and "Ich bin dein Freund" in 1968. His breakthrough came in October 1969
with the schlager hit "Wieder in der Heimat", which reached number one on the
